01 — use cases

What lands here

Built for the work that comes out of generators, notebooks, and late-night sessions — the things that deserve a URL more than an attachment.

01

Generated websites

Your assistant wrote the markup; give it a doorway. Folders and ZIPs with an index.html become living sites in seconds.

02

Reports & papers

HTML reports rendered overnight deserve better than an attachment. Give each one its own address.

03

Documentation

Publish a docs export that stays current for exactly as long as it should — then politely disappears.

04

Storybook & prototypes

Design-system builds, sprint demos, works-in-progress: one link, no ceremony.

05

Client-review prototypes

Publish a finished static prototype or landing-page preview as a public, temporary URL, then send it to a client or stakeholder through email, chat, or a meeting follow-up.

02 — for agents

Agents use the Dropley skill to upload sites and manage the artifacts — all from within the terminal.

03 — questions

Questions, answered

What can I publish?

Any static bundle — AI-generated websites, HTML reports, documentation exports, Storybook builds. Bring a folder, a ZIP, or a single file; if it has an index.html, it ships as a site. See everything Dropley supports

How do I share a prototype with a client?

Publish the finished static output, then send its public, temporary URL through your existing email, chat, or meeting workflow. Your client does not need a Dropley account. Read the client-review prototype sharing guide

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign and nowhere to log in. Drop your files and take the URL.

How long do links live?

Every artifact expires automatically — 1, 3, or 7 days, chosen at publish time. Old demos never linger.

Which file types are supported?

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images (PNG, JPG, SVG, GIF, WebP) and web fonts (WOFF, WOFF2).

Can my coding agent publish for me?

Yes. Agents use the Dropley skill — npx skills@latest add dropley/docs — or the REST API at dropley.app/docs/api.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Dropley is free to use.
