Definitions

  • Dropley or the Service: The web application and infrastructure operated at dropley.app that allows users to upload ZIP archives and publish them as hosted artifacts.
  • Content: Any files, data, text, images, software, or other materials uploaded to, stored on, or distributed through the Service.
  • User: Any person or entity that accesses or uses the Service, including visitors to published artifacts.
  • Artifact: A hosted collection of files published via the Service at a unique URL.

Prohibited Content

You may not use Dropley to upload, store, distribute, or make available any content that:

  • Malware and harmful code: Contains viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, rootkits, or any other software intended to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
  • Phishing and deception: Is designed to impersonate a person, organization, or website for the purpose of obtaining sensitive information (passwords, financial details, etc.) under false pretenses.
  • Harassment and hate speech: Harasses, threatens, bullies, or incites violence against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Child exploitation: Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sexual exploitation material, or any content involving the exploitation of minors.
  • Copyright infringement: Infringes upon the copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
  • Illegal content: Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Abuse of minors: Depicts or promotes unlawful violence against, or the exploitation of, minors.
  • Graphic violence: Depicts gratuitous or extreme violence, including but not limited to depictions of torture, death, or severe injury without educational or documentary context.

Prohibited Behaviors

You may not engage in any of the following activities in connection with the Service:

  • Automated abuse: Using bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated tools to access, monitor, or copy content from the Service without express written permission.
  • Denial of service: Engaging in any activity intended to disrupt, degrade, or overwhelm the Service, its infrastructure, or its users, including but not limited to denial-of-service (DoS) and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
  • Circumvention of controls: Bypassing, disabling, or interfering with rate limits, access controls, authentication mechanisms, or any other security measure implemented by the Service.
  • Unreasonable load: Using the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on its infrastructure, as determined in our sole discretion.
  • Unauthorized access: Attempting to access, probe, or scan artifacts, accounts, or systems that you are not authorized to access.
  • Commercial resale: Reselling or repackaging the Service or its artifacts for commercial purposes without prior written authorization.
  • Misrepresentation: Impersonating Dropley, its operators, or any person or entity, or falsely stating or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.

Reporting Violations

If you believe that content published on Dropley violates this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us. Provide as much detail as possible, including the URL of the offending artifact.

Every published artifact page includes a Report link in its footer. Clicking that link takes you to a report form with the artifact pre-filled. Alternatively, you can email us at legal@dropley.app with the artifact URL and reason for your report.

We review all reports and take appropriate action in our sole discretion.

Enforcement

Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in any of the following actions, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Removal of the offending content.
  • Suspension or termination of your ability to upload content.
  • Blocking of your IP address.
  • Reporting to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

We reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary to protect the Service, our users, and the public.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
